After winning the Vodacom League in Eastern Cape, Bush Bucks' chairman Sturu Pasiya insists that they are well on track to return to the Premiership.
Imbabala, who are under the watchful eye of the club's former goalkeeper, Nigel Dixon, have qualified for the national playoffs.
The venue and dates for the playoffs to determine the two clubs that are going to be promoted to the First Division are still to be decided by the South African Football Association.
"We are awaiting confirmation on the venue and the format of the playoffs from Safa, but our team is hard at training to be razor sharp for the games.
"We have a good team and former South African Under-23 international Mzunani Mgwigwi doubles up as assistant coach to Nigel.
"There are other former professionals within Bush Bucks in Phumlani Mama and Thulani Sisulu. Several exciting youngsters have also been promoted from our development.
"We bought the status of Lion City last year after Bush Bucks were liquidated. We applied for a name change, which was granted. Everything is well on track now. The plan is to continue doing well at the playoffs and gain promotion to the First Division next season.
"We intend spending one season in the First Division before going back to where we belong - the Premiership."
Pasiya, who is also chairman of Safa's technical committee, said the fact that the Eastern Cape did not have a Premiership club made his heart sore.
"There is so much talent in the Eastern Cape, that is why I decided to buy Lion City and began with plans to get the team back in the Premiership.
"The 2010 World Cup is coming to our country, we need to work together to get professional soccer back in the Eastern Cape."
