The challenge seeks to increase youngsters' interest in maths, science, technology, strategy and innovation to alleviate the shortage in the country.
Last year's winners were Kliptown Secondary, Sunward High School and Raucall Secondary School.
Grades 8 to 10 pupils must find solutions for South Africa's marketing, tourism and communication challenges.
