Top CAf post for 'Bra Oli'

The Confederation of African Football has appointed South African soccer boss, Molefi Oliphant as convenor of the women's and Futsal (indoor) sub- committee.

"It's a great honour to be appointed to lead such an important sub-committee," said Oliphant.

"It shows the world has confidence in the South African football the leaders."

Besides Oliphant, other South African leaders serving in various CAF and Fifa sub-committees include Irvin Khoza, Jomo Sono, Anastasia Tsichlas and Victor Ramathesele.

The man popularly known as "Bra Oli" or "MoPresidente" has completed his masters' degree in education with the University of North West.

Oliphant is currently preparing for a PhD to research life skills programmes for professional soccer players in South Africa.

"Education and football are two subjects that are very close to my heart," said Oliphant, a former headmaster and schools inspector.
