Orlando Pirates first choice goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa reckons his inclusion in the Bafana Bafana squad will spur him to work even harder.

Meyiwa has been included in the Bafana Bafana squad to play against neighbours Zimbabwe in a friendly at Germiston Stadium tomorrow at 7pm.

"I did not expect it to happen so soon. I suppose it's all about hard work, I have been working hard," said the 21-year-old Meyiwa.

What makes Meyiwa even more excited is that he is now back with his close friend and Kaizer Chiefs' goalie Itumeleng Khune.

"For us it is a dream come true. Itumeleng and I have been encouraging each other to work hard so that we can play for Bafana Bafana during the 2010 World Cup.

"The game against Zimbabwe will be a tough one because they are starting with their preparations for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers."

Meyiwa and Khune have been playing together at national level for the past six years. They started at Amajita and the Under-23s.

Some of the new recruits included by coach Carlos Alberto Parreira in the team are Sthembiso Ngcobo (Free State Stars), Kermit Erasmus (SuperSport United) and Dumisani Ngwenya (AmaZulu).

Zimbabwe's team will include the likes of Gilbert Mushangazhike (Orlando Pirates), Tinashe Nengomashe (Kaizer Chiefs) and Tapuwa Kapini (Platinum Stars).

Sipho Nkumane, Bafana Bafana manager, said: "It is a full international match, all the players will receive caps.

"We urge people of Germiston and surrounding townships to come out in big numbers and rally behind Bafana Bafana."
