Once again prospectors will pack their bags for their annual prospecting session.

They will be prospecting for fine notes, great melodies and unforgettable tunes at the annual Diamonds & Dorings Kimberley Easter Music Festival 2008.

For the sixth year running the popular music festival takes place at the Langleg Holiday Resort just outside Kimberley.

Ringo Madlingozi, Freshlyground, Bhudaza, Malaika, Mafikizolo, Ntando, Lucky Dube's Band, Camagwini, Siphokazi and Lesego are ready to end the music drought that has besieged Northern Cape, better known for its diamond deposits and the Big Hole.

Patriotic South Africans will not only dance until they drop, but will have a chance to indulge their eco-tourism fantasy.

They will get to see this old town, walk in the footsteps of the mighty and wise Sol Plaatje and search for a diamond or two.

The festival takes place on the banks of the picturesque Vaal River.

Staged and presented by Drakensberg Promotions on behalf of Sol Plaatje municipality, tickets cost R90 a person at all municipal paypoints in Kimberley and at Shoprite Checkers. Tickets will set you back R120 at the gates, which open at 10am.
