"I've had a really great tour, and with today's win, I'm excited about this week's Telkom Women's Classic at Zwartkop Country Club" said a very pleased Stacy Bregman, pictured.

The South African golfer said this after winning the Pam Golding Ladies International played at the Nelspruit Golf Club at the weekend.

Bregman, who has led the field since the beginning of the tournament, had a flying start to her final round on the last day.

It was obvious that she had set her sights on the title when she converted four straight birdies on the first four holes.

But her tee shots off the par four sixth and ninth holes found the rough and she dropped shots on both these holes.

She also dropped a shot at the 13th hole which is par three.

Alison Spratley, media manager for the Ladies African Tour said Betty Mokoena was also played but was struggling with her game.

"She played well for the first time in an international tour since she turned professional. But she will probably do well in the coming event."

Tied for second place was South Africa's Morgana Robbertze and Danish player Lisa Holm Sorensen who both carded 71 in the final round, and finished three under par.

The best round of the day came from Italian Margherita Rigon with a final round score of 70. Gauteng's Tandi Cuningham closed on plus eight to take the leading amateur title.
