Wigan have taken four points from their last two games without conceding a goal to boost their hopes of avoiding the drop, but Arsenal's confidence could hardly be higher after their majestic 2-0 Champions League victory at holders AC Milan on Tuesday.
"Other teams know if they let us play, we can be very dangerous," said Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
"They close us down and defend, we have to try not to make mistakes and just play our own football.
"The spirit of the team is amazing, and we have to keep going."
The injury news is brighter for Arsenal, with midfielder Tomas Rosicky and forward Robin van Persie both in contention for a game at the JJB Stadium.
The main league focus at the weekend, though, is at the bottom, where the battle against relegation has become impossibly tight, with four points separating seven teams.
