Women must unite and fight this indignity

My heart sinks at the disquieting sight of women undressing just to make a point at Noord Street.

My heart sinks at the disquieting sight of women undressing just to make a point at Noord Street.

Women wearing close to nothing and men undressing in retaliation. When will the madness stop? The barbarism end?

I am a woman, free of conju- gate suppression, liberalised from male pre-eminence, yet knowledgeable about the primate tendencies of most African men, their inhumane deeds. How dare they put their hands on a woman and claim it is bestowing order? Whose order? They should be shamed. These monsters need to be put in their place. Women must unite and fight. I will wear my miniskirt, paint my lips, show my cleavage and brave the walk. Anyone who dares touch me shall see the wrath of the law.
