Mangosuthu varsity may shut down

The Mangosuthu University of Technology at Umlazi in Durban would be officially closed from today until a solution to end a strike there is found.

Management said in circular yesterday that the university would be closed if the students failed to return to the lecture halls by midday.

The protest is spearheaded by the Student Representative Council (SRC) dominated by the South African Democratic Students Movement (Sadesmo).
