The suspension of the head of the KwaZulu-Natal department of agriculture and environmental affairs, Modidima Mannya, has taken a new twist.
It is alleged that chairman of the portfolio committee, Yatima Nahara, has pledged to support Mannya against MEC Mtholephi Mthimkhulu and Premier S'bu Ndebele.
A highly-placed source claimed that Mannya met with finance MEC Zweli Mkhize in January to brief him.
