Legendary former AmaZulu FC Joe "Nyakanyaka" Mlaba has died of tuberculosis.

Legendary former AmaZulu FC Joe "Nyakanyaka" Mlaba has died of tuberculosis.

Mlaba, 40, the former Amazulu and Bafana Bafana winger was admitted in hospital after he had complained of chest pains last week.

Mlaba died after he had joined the KwaZulu-Natal legends to develop talent among the youth in the province.

The pacey Mlaba will be remembered for his blistering runs.

He will be buried on Saturday after a service at his home in Molweni outside Pinetown. - Mhlaba Memela
