Lamontville Golden Arrows are bent on beating Orlando Pirates again - this time around in their own backyard tomorrow night.

This according to Zwelethu Mzolo, Arrows' communications manager, who was in a confident mood on the eve of their potentially explosive Absa Premiership clash at Johannesburg Stadium.

Pirates are fifth and Arrows sixth on the log with 30 points each from 19 games, but Bucs edge the KwaZulu-Natal team on goal difference.

Arrows, who are guided by Manqoba Mnqithi, beat Pirates 2-1 in their first-round clash at home in Umlazi last October.

"We are well aware that Pirates have been doing well lately, bar the weekend defeat by Santos in Cape Town," said Mzolo.

"It will be a tough match. [But] we are going to Johannesburg with one thing in mind - collect the three points at stake to close the gap with the clubs above us."

His counterpart at Pirates, Mickey Modisane, said they were ready for Abafana Bes'thende, who will be minus captain Kagisho "KG" Dikgacoi.

The intimidating Dikgacoi will be out for two games after being sent off during their 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows in Umlazi last Saturday.

"Arrows have been doing well under coach Manqoba," said Modisane.

"It is not by accident that they are in the top-six bracket on the log.

"We will give it our best shot despite being without Excellent Walaza, Happy Jele, Tshepiso Tshabalala and Lucky Lekgwathi because of injuries and suspensions.

"The technical staff should come up with a formidable squad to represent Pirates to the best of their ability.

"We have depth in the team."

Pirates have an array of impressive youngsters in Tlou Segolela, Oupa Manyisa, Tebogo Mashaba and Lindokuhle Madonsela, who are capable of filling any gaps in the team.

Tomorrow's game promises to be an exciting one, especially in the middle of the park where the focus will be on Teko Modise for Pirates and Papi Zothwane for Arrows. Kickoff is at 8pm.
