TV presenter and socialite Uyanda Mbuli was eventually kicked out of Strictly Come Dancing on Thursday after surviving two dance-offs.

Mbuli, who wore a brave face after her dismissal with Ryan Hammond, showed courage in the face of the judges' vote.

In the previous two dance-offs Mbuli was saved by the public, who voted for her to remain in the show. But her luck ran out last week when the public vote could no longer save her.

During the dance-off with Brenda Ngxoli it became obvious that Mbuli had to go because she was the least talented of the two celebrities.

Though the judges appreciated her fighting spirit, technically she was not up to scratch.

The judges kept on saying she had a pretty face and showed courage but that was not enough to keep her in the show.

In a telephone interview with Sowetan yesterday, Mbuli laughed off her demise.

"I am okay with it," she said. "When I went to the show I did not know how to dance. I have learnt and have grown. My dancing has really improved. It was all in the name of fun and entertainment."

Mbuli's departure from the show closely follows that of soccer legend Mark Williams, who was kicked out the previous week.

The first person to be kicked out of the competition was Mutodi Neshehe, better known as Ndalamo in Muvhango.
