Will the guillotine finally fall on Amakhosi coach Muhsin Ertugral if Kaizer Chiefs get scalped by a marauding SuperSport United?

This is likely to be the million dollar question on the minds of Amakhosi die-hards and football followers throughout the country, after the side's poor performance so far this season.

Apart from what Ertugral described as a five-star performance against Bidvest Wits, whom they beat 2-0 in midweek, there are still unanswered questions in the Chiefs camp.

But most of the Chiefs supporters are optimistic that they will collect the full points when they host Matsatsantsa a Pitori in tomorrow's Absa Premiership game at Loftus at 8pm.

"I joined Chiefs when they were in a disaster situation. My job is to stabilise the team and take them back on track," Ertugral said. "Now they appear to have adopted a fighting spirit and courage, unlike before."

This was echoed by the team's captain, Cyril "S'khokho" Nzama, who pointed out that the players were more determined and were fighting for the ball.

"There was a lot of teamwork, players were fighting for each other. We were playing more like a team and with that kind of effort and spirit we displayed, I believe that we'll reclaim our position on the log," said Nzama.

Ugandan David Obua, who dropped for a while, is back in the team.

"Obua was frustrated when he was benched and not fielded, and that is why he produced his best when fielded and he showed a lot of character on Wednesday," said Ertugral.

He added that Gerald Sibeko brought some stability to the midfield and he hoped to field the same team against United.

Due to stiff competition in the league's second round, fans must expect another big test for the two outfits who played to a goalless draw in the first round last September.

United's captain Ricardo Katza, whose side drew 1-all with Jomo Cosmos in midweek, said they let it slip because of a mistake: "Nobody is talking about us, but if things can work out the way we want we may be at the top."

United are in the chasing pack with 31 points, four behind leaders Ajax.
