One of the four men accused of murder and attempted murder complained that he felt "dizzy" forcing the court to adjourn early yesterday.
Menzi Hlongwa was in the witness stand when he suddenly told the court he could neither continue testifying nor concentrate because he was not feeling.
Hlongwa, 20, Phana Makhanya, 28, Siphamandla Sigidi Gasela, 22, and Phikani Sibongiseni Ngidi, 24, are accused of murder, attempted murder, robbery and possessing illegal firearms and ammunition.
Fifteen-month-old Khensani Mitileni died on the scene during the shoot-out between the Coin company security guards and the robbers.
Sindisiwe Lindiwe Zuma died five months later of bullet wounds.
Judge Nigel Willis was not happy with the early adjournment, saying more time had already been lost in the trial.
He ordered Hlongwa's lawyer, advocate Mbazima Mavodze, to find out if his client wanted a postponement or few minutes to relax.
Hlongwa insisted he would not continue.
"In the interest of justice the accused must be seen by a district surgeon before the court starts tomorrow to make sure he is ready to testify," said Judge Willis.
Outside court Samuel Mitileni, baby Khensani's uncle, expressed the family's frustration, saying it was their wish that the case ends quickly for them to continue with their lives.
"Some of us do not go to work to attend the case only to find that it is being postponed. It is not fair," he said.
The trial continues.
