SEOUL - South Korea will send a second shipment of steel plates to North Korea as part of energy aid promised under a nuclear deal.

A ship carrying 2830 tons of steel plates worth R14million will leave the south-eastern port of Pohang for Nampo on the North's west coast.

The plates will be used to repair power plants in the energy-starved communist state, a state official for South Korea said. - Sapa-AFP
