Most adults and children remember the Audi A8 from the movie, The Transporter. Now, the car we learnt to love and admire has received a facelift.
The A8 has undergone a minor operation to enhance its looks and it is in South Africa to charm many.
The German marque is working hard to win over even the worst of sceptics.
The new A8 range features standard LED daytime running lights as well as LED tail-lights. Further exterior enhancements are supported by the updated cabin switchgear.
The car has also undergone technical changes to achieve better performance.
The clear and progressive design language of the Audi A8 is characterised by its timeless quality. New touches were added to the exterior, from the single-frame grille to new exterior mirrors with integrated indicators and new wheel designs through to new-look LED tail-lights. New paint finishes complete the range as do high quality aluminium applications, new colours and inlays for the interior.
The new additions to the range of optional wheels, the 18-inch wheel with a 10-spoke design or the 19-inch wheel with a 5-spoke design, are small works of art.
The rear view is distinguished by lights employing LED technology. They have been given a new look for this model, which accentuates the modern light technology with extremely fast-reacting LEDs even further - each diode has its own reflector, visible through the clear cover. A total of 58 LEDs for rear light, brake light and turn signal lights are clustered in each of the two tail-light units.
