Mbombela Showgrounds in Nelspruit will be turned into a jazz village on April 6 when leading Afro-jazz musicians take to the stage.

Among those booked to perform are world-famous trumpeter Hugh Masekela and the superb trombonist Jonas Gwangwa.

Other artists include guitarist and vocalist Oliver Mtukudzi, singer and guitarist Vusi Mahlasela, singer Judith Sephuma, vocalist Simphiwe Dana, Stimela and the great Gloria Bosman.

Other artists lined up are Ringo, Mafikizolo, Maduvha and Ntando.

The festival, called Collectively, will also campaign against HIV-Aids by raising awareness on how to best combat the disease.

It will also raise money to be handed to various charity organisations through the department of social welfare.

It will be an occasion no jazz lover should miss.
