The pressures of home

Black Leopards will be under pressure from their supporters to win on their return to Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow against log leaders Ajax Cape Town, whom they meet in an Absa Premiership match at 3.30pm.

It will be the first time Lidoda Duvha play at their traditional venue this season after hosting their first-round matches at the neighbouring Giyani Stadium because the Thohoyandou pitch was not playable.

Leopards, who are treading water this season, will need to produce a spirited all-round performance if they intend to do well against the Urban Warriors.

Ajax, who are on top of their game, go to Venda not only buoyed by their 3-1 midweek success over Bloemfontein Celtic, but also by their 1-0 win over Leopards in the first round.

Leopards might have lost many matches this season, but they are not a bad side.

Hlompho Kekana came off the bench in the second half in their 1-3 loss to SuperSport United on Wednesday and made a difference in the midfield. He should start tomorrow with Jabulani Maluleke. For Ajax, Dipsy Selolwane should be motivated after scoring on debut against Celtic.
