The head of corporate and government ratings for Standard & Poor's, Paul Coughlin, said yesterday that SA was not such a bad deal when compared to other countries.

Coughlin explained that Brazil had also been relatively insulated and Argentina has had power problems. India had institutional problems on the power front and China had their own growth, employment and power concerns.

"Things are not as bad as people locally think. The issues are actually fixable," he said. - I-Net Bridge
