Making a difference at a school

Absa Sesego Cares and other donors have provided R1,5million for revamping eight classrooms at the Leseding Learning Academy at Orange Farm in the Vaal.

Absa Sesego Cares and other donors have provided R1,5million for revamping eight classrooms at the Leseding Learning Academy at Orange Farm in the Vaal.

The non-profit organisation's membership comprises the banking group's employees' spouses. It was founded in 2006.

Its main objective is to get its members involved in making a sustainable contribution to the well-being of communities across Southern Africa.

Leseding will receive other facilities, including:

l A total of 400 desks and chairs;

l Teachers' desks and cupboards;

l Blackboards;

l Exactly 1200 stationery packs, 1400 pottery mugs and 1400 lunch boxes; and

l A monthly supply of learning material and 500 suitcases.
