One of the first hairdressers in Soweto has died after a long illness.
Oupa Stephen Monsto, pictured, was the owner of hairdressing salons in the sprawling township and in the Johannesburg central business district. The 45-year-old finally succumbed to an illness at a hospital last Saturday.
He is survived by his mother, brother and sister.
Monsto will be buried tomorrow at the Klipspruit Cemetery.
The service will be held at the National Baptist Church in Kliptown, and the mourners will depart for the cemetery at 10am. - Simon Nare
