"Life will never be the same again without Isaiah. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather."

These are the words of Mable Mabuza, the widow of Isaiah Radebe, who was 60 years' of age. She says her husband was everything a wife could wish for. "We were together for a long time and I learnt a lot from him. He was both a friend and teacher."

Mabuza says she didn't expect him to die "this quickly".

Radebe was involved in a horrible taxi accident last Saturday on the way to Avalon cemetery where his best friend was being buried. The taxi overturned on the Impala Road in Protea, Soweto, and he was flung from the taxi.

He died on the scene.

"If only I had known that it was his last day, I would have prevented him from leaving home.

"It's strange that he had to die on the way to his friend's burial."

Radebe, who is survived by his wife, three children and two grandchildren, will be buried tomorrow at the Avalon Cemetery. The service will be held at house number 706A in Zola, Soweto, from 8am.
