Stakeholders must unite on all issues

It is gratifying to see the government, opposition parties and the private sector in a united bid to resolve the energy crisis - but it's sad that this kind of initiative happens only on specific issues.

It is gratifying to see the government, opposition parties and the private sector in a united bid to resolve the energy crisis - but it's sad that this kind of initiative happens only on specific issues.

I wish this new relationship could involve itself with issues that affect us daily - such as Aids, unemployment and crime.

In our country poor people can't afford basic commodities such as bread. Our land reform process is so slow because the private sector and opposition parties are not playing their part in lending a hand.

We hope that the new approach by all stakeholders - over the energy crisis - will encompass the above issues.

Let us all unite to make South Africa a better place.
