FC AK vow to mow foes

Meshack Khotha

Pacesetters FC AK have vowed to consolidate their log lead when they host University of Pretoria in a National First Division Inland Stream match at Eldorado Park Stadium today at 4pm.

Speaking to Sowetan yesterday, AK coach Ali Akhan said his side will go for broke to collect maximum points from the Pretoria outfit.

"A team of AmaTuks' calibre is dangerous because they will fight tooth and nail to move away from the bottom of the log at our expense," he said.

"We are going to approach this game like a cup final because any slip-up could derail our aims of ending the season on top of the log."

Tomorrow at Atlantic Stadium, MP Black Aces meet Witbank Spurs at 4pm.

Meanwhile, in the Coastal Stream, Hanover Park face Durban Stars at Vygieskraal today at 4pm.

Ikapa Sporting will come up against tailenders Western Province United at Wynberg Military Stadium tomorrow at 4pm.

Wednesday's results: Winnerspark 2, Dynamos 1; Maritzburg United 0, Bay United 0.
