Traumatised pupils and teachers at Inkwekwezi Secondary School in Ndulinde reserve in Sundumbili, northern KwaZulu-Natal, will receive counselling today after a pupil was stabbed by another and died in the schoolyard.

A team of psychologists will be dispatched by the department of education to help the pupils and teachers cope with the trauma.

A Grade 9 pupil allegedly stabbed Evan Msane, a Grade 10 pupil, in the classroom on Wednesday after he had mistakenly spilt water on the suspect's desk.

The two boys had an argument and as Evan walked out of the classroom, the suspect pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed him once in the back.
