Mike Azzie said that his four-year-old grey gelding, Dynamite Mike, travelled down to Cape Town on Monday for Saturday's Grade I R2million J&B Met.

He repeated that he thought his charge had a very tough task.

"He is very well in himself, as well as we can get him. As last Saturday proved, if you haven't got a ticket you haven't got a chance. Who would have thought Mythical Flight could have got beaten?" he said

He said that one could only hope that luck was on their side. Dynamite Mike drew wide at 16.

"Can you believe it," quipped Azzie. "Last year we drew wide too but sometimes it can be a blessing. If there's any scrimmaging we might be out of it."

Dynamite Mike beat Vodacom Durban July winner Hunting Tower over 1600m at level weights in his last start on the Turffontein inside track.

His best win was in the Grade II KZN Guineas over 1600m as a three-year-old last year and he was running on quite well in the Vodacom Durban July over 2200m. He should see out the relatively easy 2000m of Kenilworth, despite never winning beyond a mile.
