While it looks a bit tight on the National First Division (NFD) Coastal Stream log where Maritzburg United are in the driver's seat, the same can not be said of the Inland Stream.

The Inland Stream is led by FC AK who are seven points in front of Dynamos after 12 matches.

This after the Dynamites lost 0-1 against African Warriors at Charles Mopeli Stadium at the weekend. The margin could have been worse had Bahumi beaten Winnerspark in Seshego, but the leaders had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Seshego club who are coached by Jacob Sakala.

At the coast, Bay United walloped Hanover Park 2-0 at home to stay in touch with the Team of Choice on top of the log.

The Port Elizabeth club is four points adrift of the leaders who drew 1-1 against FC Cape Town on the road in their last encounter.

In another match at the weekend, Durban Stars made sure Western Province United remain rooted at the foot of the table when they beat them 2-0 in Umlazi.

The Durbanites are now under the guidance of Sammy Troughton who joined them from the battling University of Pretoria a fortnight ago.

WP United have only managed four points from a possible 36 and they are firm favourites to be relegated at the end of the season.

Fellow strugglers Hanover Park have six points from the same number of matches.

There will be no league matches this weekend because of the new Nedbank Cup.
