Spark has gone out of our relationship

I've been going out with my girlfriend for two years, but I no longer understand her.

I've been going out with my girlfriend for two years, but I no longer understand her.

She says she is always working, but is not. We don't talk any more. When I ask her something, she gets mad and walks away. We don't even have sex the way we used too. She says she doesn't feel like it or that she is tired, but she says that she still loves me.

I suppose I have to give her time, but it is difficult. I love her to bits. Please advise me what to do.

Worried, Gauteng

Give her a break, brother. She says she still loves you, and I bet she does. Perhaps she really is working too hard and her withdrawal and lack of interest in sex are symptoms of stress and overwork.

How do you know that she is not working extra-long days and arriving home exhausted? Her symptoms could also be a sign of depression.

Make time, perhaps on a weekend, to talk to her. Plan a picnic at a picturesque and quiet spot or a dinner at a romantic restaurant. Put some magic back into the relationship instead of hammering her and pushing her away with your insecurity and needs. I understand that you love her and are feeling confused, but you are not helping by nagging and being needy. Be loving and supportive. Good luck.
