The disciplinary process against about 100 Western Cape metro policemen suspended on full pay last August - after they took part in protest action - must be resolved, the Independent Democrats said yesterday.

ID Western Cape secretary Rodney Lentit said the matter had to be resolved promptly because of the "acute shortage" of metro police for law enforcement and to cope with traffic problems during power cuts.
