Limpopo Softball Association (LSA) has confirmed February 3 as the date for their deferred annual general meeting to elect new office bearers in Polokwane.

The date was confirmed by the outgoing LSA president, Guillo "S'Dumo" Marapyane, who revealed that they had finally received the audited financial statement from the auditors.

The provincial body was forced to postpone the AGM twice last year because there was no audited financial report.

"We now have all that is required to host the AGM and we are happy that it will finally take place after such a long time," said Marapyane, who will not stand for re-election.

The seasoned softball administrator has decided to stand down as LSA's boss to have ample time for his national duties.

He is also the president of Softball South Africa (SSA), the national controlling body.

Marapyane will be replaced by SSA and LSA treasurer Mashilo "Mash" Matsitela.

Matsitela, who is also Mahwelereng Spikes' chairman and a top Limpopo businessman, has been nominated unopposed.

His deputy will be Seleteng Giant Killers' official Kgoshi Mphahlele, who is also contesting alone for the position.

It will be the same case for the position of director of tournaments where incumbent Benny Boshomane is contesting.
