It looks as if Jacob Zuma's personal anthem Umshini wami is unstoppable and here to stay, whether we like it or not.

It looks as if Jacob Zuma's personal anthem Umshini wami is unstoppable and here to stay, whether we like it or not.

Absolutely nothing prevents Zuma or his supporters singing the song at gatherings.

One wonders if it will be understood and acceptable by Fifa president Sepp Blatter and the overseas visitors when this "political" rendition is sung at the Soccer World Cup in 2010. After all, Zuma might even open the world event.

Was Terror Lekota right after all, when he said that Umshini wami was not appropriate these days?
