The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations Local Organising Committee yesterday assured Bafana Bafana that they have nothing to fear about the facilities in Tamale.
Bafana Bafana will be based in Tamale for the first round.
Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, Ghana soccer legend Abedi "Pele" Ayew said the West African country would offer their best possible facilities.
This came after the Bafana Bafana management had raised serious concerns about the hotels and training facilities in Tamale for the tournament.
Ayew said: "The hotels and training facilities are not as bad as what other people said.
" The people of Tamale are excited and looking forward to hosting Bafana Bafana.
"The government of Ghana has done a great job by building wonderful stadiums for the Africa Cup of Nations.
"The stadiums will also be used beyond the tournament, it will also enable us host giants like Brazil, England and all the other national teams."
Ayew is part of the Ghanaian delegation in the country to parade the Standard Bank sponsored two-day trip to parade the Afcon trophy.
Bolina Saaka, the Tamale venue organising committee chairman, said: "There are new hotels built in Tamale, the one used by Bafana Bafana was also built from scratch.
"We also have two brilliant training facilities, which have been approved by the Confederation of African Football.
"The stadium we have built in Tamale for the tournament is one of the best."
Anthony Baffoe, the LOC's international affairs director, said it was important for Ghana to stage a great tournament.
The delegation later met the 2010 World Cup chief executive officer Danny Jordaan, who wished them good luck in their hosting of the tournament.
Jordaan said the expectations from the Ghana tournament were massive, considering that more Africans were now plying their trade overseas.
"It is really good to see African football being recognised globally."
l Clement Motale, Standard Bank sponsorship manager, said the Afcon trophy will be paraded in Johannesburg today from 9am before going to Nigeria this weekend.
