A northern KwaZulu-Natal farmer has been granted bail after being arrested in connection with the death of an elderly farm dweller.
He appeared in the Magudu magistrate's court yesterday.
Thomas Samuel Potgieter, 45, of Doringbos farm near Nongoma, is accused of assaulting Manana Gumbi, 65, in November after the two quarrelled.
Gumbi suffered serious head and body injuries during the attack. She later died.
