For someone who said he had retired, Mzwakhe is surely riding the entertainment wave to his heart's delight. That is if Doc Shebeleza's story is anything to go by.

The two musos are in a mudslinging struggle after a spat erupted between Shebeleza's Amaha Entertainment and Mbuli over the Social Responsibility and HIV-Aids concert held in Durban recently.

Shebeleza, whose real name is Victor Bogopane, says he is bewildered by the poet's behaviour.

Mbuli is said to have circulated text messages to the media about an alleged mismanagement of the concert which resulted in a number of performing artists, including Arthur Mafokate and Robbie Malinga, spending a night in their cars.

Shebeleza denies these claims saying every artist who was lined up for the concert was booked into a hotel.

"In fact, all artists lined up at the concert gave free performances for charity.Mzwakhe is the only one who got paid an amount of R35 000 and he goes and starts this malicious rumour."

Sowetan is in possession of the proof of payment.

Mbuli refused to comment yesterday and referred all questions to his lawyerwho confirmed it was true that his client was not paid his due.
