Olebokeng Motseki must be vigilant in every second of his four-rounder with Goodlife Mabitsela at Sand du Plessis hall in Bloemfontein on Friday or he may find himself in a hospital bed.

Mabitsela, who is nicknamed "S'Bhedlela" (Hospital) is a hammer-fisted 24-year-old puncher based in Germiston, Ekurhuleni.

He has sent six of his eight opponents to slumberland and four of them ended up in a hospital ward. Mabitsela, who was born in Limpopo, will be ushered to combat by underrated mentor Jabulani Malinga.

Mabitsela told Sowetan yesterday that his foe from Kimberley would not defeat him.

"There is no doubt that I will be crowned the bantamweight Baby Champs champion on Friday," he said boldly.

Accompanied to Sowetan offices by the Malinga brothers, Patrick and Vusi, Mabitsela attributed his success to God, who he said gave him power that has made him a feared knockout artist on the rise.

"I don't go out to end my fights within scheduled distances. Knockouts are the result of hard work. It comes as a bonus for me really."

Meanwhile, trainer Benny Pailman predicted victory for his charge Nkululeko "The Bulldog" Mhlongo who will contest the junior middleweight Baby Champs title with Malibongwe Ndzube.

"We planned this long before the start of this programme last year. Nkululeko did not go home to Ekurhuleni for Christmas. It was hard work all the way and he is so sure about himself that he said he will fight Ndzube with one hand," said Pailman.

The fights form part of the Baby Champs finals. This 16-fight programme will be contested in all weight divisions. It will promoted by Fezile Mabuya who will be assisted by the Free State government.

A number of national and international champions like Bongani Mwelase and Zukisani Kwayiba were found through this development programme.
