The body of Teboho Mofokeng, 45, was found when police arrested two men who later led them to the scene.
"Police spotted the suspects driving a BMW belonging to Mofokeng at the Maseru Port of Entry. The vehicle, presumed to be stolen, was stopped before crossing the border into Lesotho," said Superintendent Motantsi Makhele.
One of the suspects managed to run away, but was later arrested.
When police found that the car was stolen, they went to Mofokeng's house in Edenburg, but there was no sign of him. "Police were finally led to the body, which was found in a field between Dewetsdorp road and Reddersburg road. Mofokeng was covered with an old blanket and with a plastic bag around his neck.
The men would be charged with robbery, kidnapping and murder. They will appear in the Edenburg Magistrate's Court on tomorrow. - Sapa
