It is disgusting, in a country that is still nursing democracy, to find senior journalists of the SABC hurling such derogatory and defamatory insults at a leader who is the product of a democratic process enshrined in the ANC constitution.
It is a shame that people from the media reveal to the nation how biased, subjective and partial they are in the ANC succession race.
The recent turn of events should be seen as a triumph for democracy. All South Africans should learn to accept change. We cannot ruin this democracy.
The nasty remarks by these SABC officials are an indication that the corporation needs to undergo a shake-up. They should make way for assertive and neutral journalists who will use the media to teach people what democracy truly is.
We want people who will help heal the scars and not rub salt into the nation's wounds.
It is a time to heal, a time for reconciliation and a time to devise collaborative and consultative strategies to fight crime, the HIV-Aids pandemic, unemployment and the problems surrounding the provision of education in South Africa.
I hope officials and journalists of the SABC apologise not only to Msholozi but to the entire South African rainbow nation.
