MOGADISHU - Militiamen in northeastern Somalia yesterday kidnapped two foreign aid workers in the port town of Bosasso, a regional official said.

MOGADISHU - Militiamen in northeastern Somalia yesterday kidnapped two foreign aid workers in the port town of Bosasso, a regional official said.

The official said two women working with Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) were taken in the breakaway state of Puntland.

"Two foreign female MSF workers were kidnapped by armed men in central Bosasso. Policemen are chasing the kidnappers," said Puntland information ministry official Bile Mohamud Qabowsade. - Sapa-AFP
