Shirley Masango-Mahlangu, 42, faces charges of malicious damage to property and arson after she allegedly torched her estranged husband's house following a heated argument.

She is charged alongside Sylvia Masango and Beauty Masango after they were arrested last month.

They are out on bail of R1000 each.

They were not asked to plead during their second appearance at Boschfontein periodical court yesterday.

Magistrate Edgar Moletsane presided.

Schoemansdal police spokesman Constable Nompilo Qwabe confirmed that cases of malicious damage to property were opened at the station and were being investigated. - Given Mahlalela
