"It starts from the highest political level down to ordinary people," said Kennedy Mosiapoa, the North West 2010 World Cup provincial coordinator.
"We are talking here of an all-inclusive process in all the structures dealing with the World Cup preparations in the entire province."
The platinum-rich town of Rustenburg is one of the nine cities selected by the 2010 Local Organising Committee to host the World Cup.
Mosiapoa said the town and provincial government "used to have certain pillars doing the same thing".
"We [the provincial government] had a meeting three weeks ago with the municipality where we agreed that we should work as a unit in all the 2010 World Cup activities," he said.
"The host city and provincial technical committees are now working as one. It is a structure of the head of departments and chief directors."
The new unified technical committee is one of the nine pillars identified by the North West provincial government to prepare for the World Cup.
The other pillars are host city and stadium development; creative industry and empowerment; tourism and marketing; road infrastructure; sports legacy; communications and stakeholders management; safety and security, health environment and sanitation; and the finance and legal pillar.
