Ertugral blames fatigue for draws

Kaizer Chiefs' coach Muhsin Ertugral would have been justified had he blamed referee Victor Hlungwane for wrongly awarding Bloemfontein Celtic a penalty that resulted in the opening goal at Seisa Ramabodu on Sunday.

Instead the usually fiery Ertugral blamed the team's fatigue for the 1-all draw in this Absa Premiership match.

"We have not had time to rest after tough league matches and cup competitions," Ertugral said. "We played midweek and on weekends and this has certainly impacted on our performance.

"This has not been the case with Celtic, who played only a few matches and well against us."

Celtic opened the scoring via Moses Spandeel's penalty after Hlungwani adjudged that Cyril Nzama fouled November Motseothata inside the box when the infringement happened outside the box. Kaizer Motaung Jnr equalised for Chiefs. - Thabo Johnson
