The Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week gets under way today at various cricket fields in Gauteng.
A total of 16 provincial teams will battle it out in the yearly tournament, which will be hosted by the Gauteng Cricket Board.
The event will end on December 20.
Elkah Stadium in Soweto and Bramfischer Oval in Dobsonville are some of the cricket fields selected to host the games.
At the culmination of the tournament a selected South African Schools XI and a South African Colts XI will play Gauteng invitational teams.
At the same time, a South African team to compete in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia next season will also be selected.
