The ANC electoral commission has urged delegates to the party's national conference that allege they were bribed to vote for a particular candidate to bring their claims forward for investigation.
This after numerous but unsubstantiated reports that delegates were being bribed in Limpopo, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga.
Information was distributed to the media through SMSes alleging that some politicians were seen "carrying bags of money" and offering them to delegates in Limpopo.
Earlier reports concerned vote-rigging in KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Northern Cape and Gauteng.
There were reports that delegates were feted with send-off parties in the Eastern Cape.
It was also reported that delegates from Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo were bused to hotels in Mpumalanga to be bribed to vote for certain candidates.
Electoral Commission chairman Bertha Gxowa said the commission had not received any formal complaints about such activities, despite the allegations that appeared in the media.
"The small number of complaints we received were of an administrative nature and were resolved or referred to relevant structures.
"We would like to remind delegates and ANC supporters that the elections in Polokwane will be by secret ballot and delegates will be free to make their own choices.
"The elections will be managed by an independent agency of professional election administrators," said Gxowa.
She said the party's commission would be expanded from the present 12 ANC veterans to include a representative from each province and the Women's and Youth Leagues.
