The Twenty Prioritized Township programme will embark on a holiday by hosting a sport and fun day at Kagiso Stadium on Sunday.

The Twenty Prioritized Township programme will embark on a holiday by hosting a sport and fun day at Kagiso Stadium on Sunday.

The event, the first of its kind, starts from 9am to 6pm.

It is an inter-departmental programme that aims at upgrading of 20 impoverished townships and improve the lives of the residents in those townships.

Event organiser Mary Martins-Engelbrecht said youth in townships often fall victim to or become involved in criminal and other mischievous incidents during school holidays.

"The 20PTP, together with South African soccer legends such as Nelson Dladla, Jerry Sikhosana and Jabu Mahlangu, will be involved in planting trees in the township of Kagiso. call Mary martins-Engelbrecht on 079-497-3606 or 011-630-5004.
