Platinum Stars are expected to unveil former Mamelodi Sundowns' assistant coach Miguel Gamondi as their new head coach at a media briefing in Johannesburg today.

Platinum Stars are expected to unveil former Mamelodi Sundowns' assistant coach Miguel Gamondi as their new head coach at a media briefing in Johannesburg today.

Gamondi, who assisted Angel Cappa at Sundowns, will replace co-coaches Thierry Mulonzo and Allan Freese at Stars, Sowetan was yesterday informed.

A source said the two coaches will be retained by the club for other positions. This comes in the backround of Stars being reported to have been negotiating with another former Sundowns assistant coach Neil Tovey. The club is also said to be eyeing Jose Torrealba who is believed is at Kaier Chiefs. - Mcelwa Nchabeleng
