The ANC Youth League has allegedly purged all Thabo Mbeki-supporting members from its delegation to the national conference in Limpopo.
Among those allegedly purged is the outspoken NEC member Andile Nkuhlu, who has been unwavering in his support for Mbeki. Nkuhlu is one of the ANCYL's leaders who always opposed league president and staunch Zuma supporter, Fikile Mbalula.
Those excluded are Nkuhlu, Phola Xotongo, Thembisa July, Funeka Mpetha, Archie Lucas, Thami Msomi, Harris Rikhotso, Jabu Mfusi, Garreth Bezuidenhout and Thabo Matiwane.
The exclusions follow the league's extended NEC meeting on November 21-22 where the delegation to Limpopo was elected.
The excluded group have written a letter to ANC secretary-general Kgalema Motlanthe requesting his intervention in the issue.
