KwaZulu-Natal expects to have a whopper of a festive season with the province expected to net an estimated total economic spin-off of R2,5billion.

Tourism KwaZulu-Natal (TKZN) general manager James Seymour said an estimated 2,3million people are expected to visit the province - including another 100000 international tourists. This figure did not include the cross-border tourists who travelled by vehicle.

"We are the leading domestic holiday destination, owning 32percent share of the country's tourism market," he said. - Mary Papayya
