Time is running out for teams vying to to take part in the Tuka Diski Soccer Games scheduled for Etwatwa Sports Complex in Daveyton, Benoni from Friday, December 14 to 30.

Tomorrow is deadline for teams to pay their registration fees.

This was confirmed yesterday by Thami Dlamini, tournament organiser, who said 15 teams had registered for the competition and they were short of five more teams to reach their target of 20.

The joining fee for the seniors is R1800 while the Under-13s and Under-15s will be expected to fork out R800 each.

Said Dlamini: "The registration period for teams won't be extended after the deadline on Saturday [tomorrow].

"Our objective is to develop sports in Benoni and keep youngsters busy with progressive and positive activities during the festive season.

"We urge the community of Etwatwa and Daveyton to rally behind the tournament as there will be a lot of prizes for the lucky winners.''

He added that the draw will be conducted tomorrow at Rhoo Art Centre in Daveyton.

The winner in the senior category will pocket R40000 and runners-up will collect R20000.
