Building up some steam
AmaZulu and Black Leopards are satisfied with their midweek performances and are hoping to build on that display in their next Absa Premiership matches this weekend.
Usuthu welcome title chasers Free State Stars to Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday at 3.30pm and Leopards visit Bidvest Wits in Milpark tomorrow at 8pm.
It is bound to be a tough encounter for AmaZulu against Ea lla Koto who are in a sparkling form this season.
Philani Mabaso, Usuthu publicist, told Sowetan yesterday they were expecting a tough match against Stars but he reckons they have the motivation to do well after their 1-all draw with Kaizer Chiefs.
But Louis Tshakoane, Stars' marketing and communications director, believes they have enough in their arsenal to thump AmaZulu in their own backyard.
The home side will be without creative midfielder Bafo Biyela, who is suspended after picking up his third yellow card against Chiefs.
John "Shoes" Moshoeu, who scored the equaliser against his former club on Wednesday, once again carries the hopes of the Durbanites against the Freestaters.
Like Usuthu, Lidoda Duvha will face a tricky outing against The Students who have vowed not to disappoint their supporters at home tomorrow.
But Wits will need to be in a ruthless mood if they intend to tame Leopards, who are inspired by their surprise 2-1 success over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.
"We will see whether their claws are sharp enough to maul us," George Mogotsi, Wits' administrative manager, said yesterday.
